…Nose introduces four inspirations of this new period  : #brandy, #vanillaqueen, #musk, #ambernote

what #amberynote inspires us

It evokes oriental faraway places, voluptuoussness, sun...  With amber, we think about asserted, passionate and mysterious personality. Epicurean, the ambery note charms and capitvates. It is the perfect final touch to a sophisticated outfit.

Ambergris, very rare, isn’t very oftenly used in perfumery. It comes from a secretion produced in sperm whales’ bowels that is then rejected. It's said that the animal creates this secretion to protect its intestinal walls. #sensuality !

More commonly, ambery accords are often created thanks to balsamic notes. These balsamic notes derive from certain plants’ resins. Let’s make it clear: from cistus – a little tree from Mediterranean area – is extracted the labdanum resin (warm, waxy and slightly animal note that can reminds vannilla). Other raw materials like benzoin (fruity, woody notes) or even opoponax (warm, leathery, velvety notes) are created with these resins, that, together assembled, generate the ambery note.
