Nose continues to evolve! mid November 2017 we will, as the first in the industry, launch our free international delivery service (see conditions). The Nose boutique in Paris figures in over 60 international city guides (Louis Vuitton, Wallpaper, Monocle, Cereal, etc.) and we want to offer visiting customers the chance to renew their perfume orders once they’re back in their own countries.

How does the express delivery work?

Express delivery is different from our standard delivery. We will continue to offer free standard delivery by road within the European territory, for any purchase above 80 euros. Express delivery, on the other hand, is carried out by airfreight. Air transport of perfume is heavily regulated, as perfume has been considered to be a highly flammable hazardous material by the IATA (International Air Transport Association), resulting in an extra cost of 80€ per shipped package - a cost that has been difficult to cover.

What has changed? Which countries are affected?

Nose has managed the impossible and can now send perfume by international airfreight without the goods being considered “hazardous material”. Thus, we can now ship to over 75 countries, classified by zone.

Which orders are eligible for free delivery?

Nose offers free delivery for any purchase above the sums as listed below, according to zone:

  • Zone 1, 2 and 3: The European Union (27 countries): 1 to 2 days for purchases above 133,33 € (before VAT)
  • Zone 4, 5 and 6: Europe outside the EU, USA, the Maghreb and Eastern Asia (21 countries): 1 to 3 days for purchases above 166,67 € (before VAT)
  • Zone 7 and 8: The rest of the world (28 countries): 3 to 5 days for purchases above 208,33 € (before VAT)

What are the value-added tax (VAT) rules for non-European countries?

Good news for non-Europeans: The applied prices on the Noseparis.com website will be excluded from VAT, which means a saving of 20%.

What about customs fees?

Whether or not your shipment is a gift, it is subject to customs procedures as defined by import laws in the destination country. The customs clearance depends on several factors: the country of origin, value and quantity of the goods, but not the goods’ final purpose. Cross-border shipments are taxable and therefore subject to fees or taxes. The calculation of these costs depends on the estimated value of the taxable goods. For the purposes of this calculation, a classification code, known as the Harmonized System Code, is assigned to the taxable goods.

Who pays the customs fees?

The recipient is responsible for paying the applicable fees and taxes in their country. For the majority of countries, it is always preferable to order products through the Noseparis.com website. The total price to be paid by the customer thus consists of the product price (paid to Nose) and any additional customs fees and taxes (paid to the customs authorities).
